Comment
This show was an overwhelming experience. I have not seen R+ since Roy Wilkins 1999 and as a result most of these songs hadnt even been written yet. Has consistantly been one of my favorite bands since I heard them first in late 1996. First US show since 2011.
As far as the tape itself, it is crisp and clear and not at all boomy, something that AUDs made from the floor of this venue can struggle with, however this time I was considerably further forward than the last time I taped here and in direct line with the bands punishingly loud sound system. The result is a recording that has intense stereo seperation throughout with a bottom end that is dense and dynamic. Unline many other AUDs from this tour, this does not sound at all thin or tinny, it is full on in your face, a fitting tribute that does justice to one of the greatest live bands of all time. I dialed back some of the pyro bursts through out the show to save your speakers, as well as the intensity of some talkers with some careful stereo manipulation to preserve a consistantly, enjoyable, and immersive listening experience.
